Name: Lindsey Faucher Section: A GENRE: Fantasy Title of book (underlined or italicized): Wild Boars Cook Author: Meg Rosoff Illustrator (if listed on title page of book): Sophie Blackall Publisher: Henry Holt and Company Copyright date: 2008 Score (see Rubric for details): Appropriate book selected? __yes ___no, may resubmit within one week Critique /2 Examples /1 Writing /1 Surface aspects /1 TOTAL /5 Lucid and concise text alongside full-page illustrations tells the story of four wild and exceptionally hungry boars who decide to make a massive pudding recipe together. This animal fantasy seems to be written as though the boars could actually be humans doing an everyday activity. For example, the story describes the boars doing regular things such as measuring out their ingredients and whisking them in a bowl, making it appear as though these are normal tasks for them. The story appears to be an original concept that explores ordinary animals doing something very extraordinary for what they are actually capable of.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
