Lindsey Faucher FSW 281- Sec. C CDC Observation #5 March 26, 2010 Running Notes: Child A. 9:50: E. is playing blocks by himself in the corner of the room. He seems very content about what he is doing and has a smile on his face the entire time. 9:51: Another child tries to take the blocks from E. and he starts to scream and yell out angrily. The teacher then asks him what is wrong and he responds back with a scream. Once the teacher realizes what has happened she asks E. if someone took his blocks and he responds, “Yes they did, I am mad at them.” 9:52: The teacher tells the other child that he has to apologize to E. for what he did. The child apologizes and E. says that it is okay. He continues to play with the blocks. 9:53: He eventually grows bored of playing with the blocks and moves on to his next activity. He decides to run up and down the stairs to the tree house play area with a huge smile on his face. He seems so excited just to be going so fast up the stairs. 9:54: The teacher tells him to slow down while he is running up and down the stairs, so he obeys (but with a slight frown on his face) and stops. He decides to move on to something different and walks over to the kitchen area. 9:55: He sits down at a table at first, but then gets up to go get some pots and a spoon.
