The flow sheet and known data are presented below. What is the amount of recycle gas, R (in lb- mol) per 100 lbs of product, P , if the concentration of water in the gas stream entering the dryer is 5.10 mol%? Show all work and balances. Assume that the molecular weight of the hot gas is 29 lb m /lbmol. (6) Fritz Haber (Nobel prize in Chemistry-1918) and Karl Bosch (chemical engineer, Nobel prize in Chemistry-1931) developed a large-scale, high-pressure process to synthesize ammonia using an iron catalyst. This process is still used today in industry.
