CSC 322 Program 6 - Smiley One Due Friday November 11, 2011 This assignment will enable you to demonstrate your ability to manipulate characters on the screen and to recognize characters from the keyboard. You will also be able to show how you can "move" around on a screen via the arrow keys. First your code should clear the screen giving it an attribute of blue characters on a green background. Next you should "paint" the screen with the pattern given below starting in the upper left corner of the screen. You should use our textbook’s library to do this. Next, you should put a "Smiley Face" character near the middle of the screen on row 14, col 40 (recall you should start counting rows/cols at 0). The ASCII code for the smiley-face is 01h. The rest of your program will involve responding to the input from the user. If the user presses an arrow key you should move the smiley face in that direction – if possible. That is, you should remove the old smiley face and put a new one on the screen in the direction specified by the arrow.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
