The design provides the transition between two grades: -1.95% and 2.45%. b) Find the elevations of stations along the vertical curve if the VPC is station 2+412.00 (meters) and at an elevation of 102.10 meters above sea level. Create elevations and offsets every 10 meters. Plot the results obtained using Excel or Matlab. If you employ Matlab or Excel make sure to include one manual calculation to explain the method used. Matlab or Excel results without a clear explanation and sample computation are not acceptable. Problem 2 a) Calculate the minimum length of a vertical curve designed for another divided State Highway with a design speed of 60 mph. The design provides the transition between two grades: 3.1% and -2.7%.
