1.0INTRODUCTIONThe use of microscope has been one of the basic methods to view and observe livingorganisms and the components that make them up in order to understand the nature of it, andtheir fundamental unit of structures and functions. The development of this instrument hasexpanded the limitations to allow the early study of cells. In this practical, the structures ofanimals, plants, and algae are observed. Various prepared slides were also used in thispractical. The aim of this practical is to study the specimens with the use of microscope. Fromthis practical, the microscope and its components along with its functions can also befamiliarized. There are two types of microscopy; light microscopy and electron microscopy. Thispractical focuses on the light microscopy as only compound microscope and dissectingmicroscope were used. The functioning structures that make up the living organisms wasobserved.2.0MATERIALS AND PROCEDURE2.1 Materialsi.Compound microscopeii.Prepared slidesiii.Cotton swabiv.Leafv.Pond watervi.Live insectvii.Chloroformviii.Petri plates
