Self-Leadership All leadership begins with self-leadership. If all leadership is first self-leadership that springs from personal beliefs and attitudes, then each person must first decide what personal leadership legacy he or she wants to leave behind. If our leadership role is continually unfolding, we’ll be making that decision more than once. And if we’re influencing those around us all the time whether we realize it or not, we’re usually not choosing our opportunities to lead; they’re thrust upon us willy-nilly.
