Section 1. Introduction 1.1 Executive Summary This is who we are! Hi-Tekerz Robotics operates at Highline High School in Burien, Washington. This is the first year Hi-Tekerz formed, so we are a rookie team. Hi-Tekerz is currently being led by Ms. Schulze a physics teacher at Highline High School. The formation of the team is currently being aided by community members; Darin and Diana Gee, Fredrick Lueck, Peter Eels, Sharla Marcum. Ms. Schulze helps direct the progress of the team by supervising and learning from different student groups. Darin and Diana Gee are the organizers of the team. They organize the times people are willing to bring meals, likewise they organize the team’s schedule of when to meet and build. They also acquire compatible parts for the team robot. We have two mentor volunteer engineers who both work on functional parts, Fred Lueck and Peter Eels. Sharla Marcum is our mentor in charge of our electrical systems. We have eleven team members in Hi-Tekerz Robotics. Our sponsors include The Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), The Boeing Company, Esterline, Titan Rigging, and Platt. 1.2 Mission Statement : We, the Highline High School Hi-Tekerz Robotics Team, will strive to create a strong team environment that values cooperation, team spirit, sportsmanship, and gracious professionalism. While our team is student-led, respect between students and mentors is of the utmost importance, and we will endeavor to foster harmonious working relationships between all team participants. We trust that all decisions by each individual are made in good faith, with the best interests of the team and its members at heart.
