Journal #3 As Othello and Desdemona begin to walk away from her father he tells her that Desdemona had deceived him and that she could do the same to Othello. Iago tells Roderigo to put money in his purse, as in sell everything you have and follow them. Iago tries to shame Cassio by getting him drunk and having Roderigo try to bait him into a brawl. Othello then takes away Cassio’s sash that made him his right-hand man and now Iago is Othello’s closest friend. Now Cassio needs help and Iago tells him to turn towards Desdemona. Desdemona loses her handkerchief and Ameila finds it and gives it to Iago. Iago then tries to set it up to look like Cassio had slept with Desdemonda because Othello sees Cassio with Desdemona’s handkerchief. When Iago tries to imply the idea to Othello he is not grateful at all. He holds him underwater in anger of the idea that has crossed his mind. Othello believes Cassio is talking about Desdemona in the armory where Othello was hiding. But he was really talking about Bianca; Iago made him look
