Order of Daedalians  7 th  F light   (HAROLD L. GEORGE ) INSTRUCTIONS FOR 2011 SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION 1. Complete and sign the attached application 2. Obtain a full sealed transcript from your school showing course load and grade point average 3. Obtain two letters of recommendation - one must be from a person who knows the applicant well, such as an ROTC unit commander, or a Daedalian member. The letter must describe applicant's achievement, leadership capability, and demonstrated interest in pursuing a career military aviator; the second letter from a member of the school academic staff concerning the applicant's scholarship and academic standing. (Academic ability is essential to a military aviator and is a factor considered by the selection committee.) 4. Provide two recent head and shoulder photos of yourself ( preferably in uniform ); be suitable for publication in our newsletter and the Daedalian magazine. 5. Send the application and attached checklist by US Mail to arrive no later than 30 APRIL to: Lt Col Jacque Johnson, USAF (Ret.)
