Current as of 1 December 2010 INFORMATION SUBJECT TO CHANGE www.afrotc.com 866.423.7682 OVERVIEW Air Force ROTC (AFROTC) offers an opportunity for qualified cadets to compete for a medical school scholarship with a reservation in either the Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship Program (AFHPSP) or the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) following graduation and commissioning. AFROTC cadets selected for the Prehealth Designator are guaranteed sponsorship through one of these programs if they are accepted into an accredited school of medicine or USUHS prior to commissioning. To qualify for the Prehealth Designator (reservation in the AFHPSP), an applicant must: Have a 3.5 cumulative college GPA Be awarded an AFROTC Pre-health Enrollment Allocation (normally awarded between the sophomore and junior years} Agree to accept an Armed Forces Health Professions Scholarship or attend USUHS APPLICATION PROCEDURES Qualified AFROTC cadets may compete for the Prehealth Designator two years prior to the applicant’s date of
