Welcome to the 55th AFROTC Cadet Wing On behalf of the Cadre and the Cadet Wing, we welcome you to Detachment 055! During your time at Detachment 055, you will be challenged and pushed to your physical and mental limits, but you will never be alone. We will be your wing-men and women as you are transformed from a civilian student into an elite officer in the world’s most powerful Air Force. During your journey, you will encounter great challenges as well as great rewards. You will make lifelong friends, and learn invaluable lessons which you will take with you into your career. Being a Cadet, let alone an officer requires a great deal of responsibility, maturity and personal motivation. We encourage you to participate in all activities, and make the most of your training. Most importantly, we encourage you to ask questions about AFROTC and the Air Force. This booklet contains 30 items of Warrior Knowledge. This information is mandatory to know, and will be tested on a regular basis . Your ability to study and recite this information will be one of many measures of your commitment, skill and potential. It is mandatory to have this book on your person during LLAB , as well as certain extracurricular activities. You should carry it unless instructed otherwise. Keep it safe, and treat it as a treasured manuscript. We wish you the best as you embark on your quest to become an officer in the U.S. Air Force. Good Luck!

Reporting In Procedures (subject to change when FTM is updated) 1. Approach the officer’s office from the side and wait by the door 2. Knock once. 3. Announce: “Cadet (Name), X Flight, Office (Commandant of Cadets, Commander, etc.), Officer’s Name. a. Example: Cadet Luttkus, Wing Staff, Education Officer, Lieutenant Kazi. 4. Await permission to enter. 5. Approach within 2 paces of the front of the officer’s desk. a. Approach the desk by squaring corners (90 degree turns) and taking most direct route b. If there is no way to position yourself in front of the desk (i.e. there is an obstruction) position yourself 2 paces away from the officer in a position of your best judgment, usually be off to the side 6. For groups, knock, announce each cadet by name, enter in file. Detail leader “calls present arms” and reports in for all cadets by name. a. Example: *Knock* Cadet Ramos, Wing Staff, Cadet Canfield, Wing Staff, Cadet Clarey, Charlie Flight, Commandant of Cadets, Captain Denton. *Enter* “Present Arms.” “Cadets Clarey, Eckold and Thomas report as ordered.” 7.
