NARRATIVE SPEECH Thesis I am going to share an example of why you should never judge a book by it’s cover. Background Info/Beginning of Story Lake Forest High School is very similar to Miami in the way that it has a reputation to be filled with preppy conservatives. Most everyone makes an effort to fit into this mold, wearing the basic uniform of J. Crew, Polo, Vineyard Vines, Lilly Pulitzer etc. When I was a junior, Brittany was in my math class. All any of us knew about her was that she had done some modeling over seas somewhere. What everyone chose to focus on was that she was different than the typical Lake Forest stereotype. She was seen as an outsider because her appearance didn’t match the norm. She wore clothes resembling a medieval fashion, and no one understood it. Her hair was constantly changing colors, styles, and lengths. Six feet tall, she stuck out in the hallways like a sore thumb. She was not popular, but commonly known as “the tall weird girl.” Our last names being next to
