Unformatted text preview: A SEMINAR ON PRACTICAL TRAINING AT CHAMBAL G.S.S. JAIPUR PLCC (POWER LINE CAREER COMMUNICATION) & SCADA SYSTEM www.powerpointpresentationon.blogspot.com GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PLCC BASIC PARTS OF PLCC • • • • • • WAVE TRAPS COUPLING CAPACITOR LMU LIGHT ARRESTER TUNING CAPACITORS SWITCHING UNIT USE OF PLCC • • • • Speech Transmission Remote control and telemetering Power line protection Direct breaker tripping MODE OF OPERATION • • • • • • • TELEPHONE FACILITIES COMPRESSOR AND EXPANDER 4-WIRE HAND/EMERGENCY SERVICE TELEPHONE TELE-OPERATION SGNALS SIGNAL BOOSTING SUPERVISION AND ALARMS ADVANTAGE OF PLCC • No separate wires are needed for communication purposes, as the power lines themselves carry power as well as the communication signals. Hence the cost of constructing separate telephone lines is saved. • When compared with ordinary lines the power lines have appreciably higher mechanical strength. They would normally remain unaffected under the condition, which might seriously damage telephone lines. • Power lines usually provide the shortest rout between the power stations. • Power lines have large cross-sectional area resulting in very low resistance per unit length. Consequently the carrier signal suffer much less attenuation than when travel on usual telephone lines of equal lengths. • Power lines are well insulated to provide only negligible leakage between conductors and ground even in adverse weather conditions. • Largest spacing between conductors reduces capacitance, which results in smaller attenuation at high frequencies. The large spacing also reduces the cross talk to a considerable extent. SCADA • USE TO MONITOR CONTROL & DATA LOGGING • HARDWARE & SOFTWARE • GUI Basic Electrical Parameter Measure in the System • • • • • Current of each feeder Phase Angle of each feeder Voltage of each Bus Frequency Circuit Breaker Status ADVANTAGE • • • • • SCALABILITY REDUNDANCY DATA LOGGING GET OPTIMUM VALUES ACCESS CONTROL THANKS ...
