The Vatican Declaration on Sexual Acts 1. The traditional Christian doctrine about sex is that the use of sexual function has its true meaning and moral rectitude only in true marriage. 2. Premarital sexual relations is said to be immoral, since Jesus willed a stable union. The Christian doctrine states that every genital act must be within the framework of marriage. It is consent which makes their marriage a Sacrament of Christ. Sexual union is only legitimate if a definitive community of life has been established between the man and the woman.

Homosexual acts are intrinsically disordered and can in no case be approved of. 4. Masturbation is wrong, since all deliberate exercise of sexuality must be reserved to a regular relationship. The deliberate use of the sexual faculty outside normal conjugal relations contradicts the finality of the faculty. It lacks the sexual relationship called for by the moral order....
