Nancy Crawley Case 12 Starbury Collection Stephen Marbury is a ten year veteran of the New York Knicks basketball team . He was a point guard who had a multi-million dollar contract . A shoe came out, and Stephen Marbury put his approval on the shoe which was $14.98 . He did this without an endorsement guarantee . Some may say that this was not a smart move on his part, but in reality it was a very smart move on his part . A question that came up due to the shoe having such a low price is if the shoe will even be able to market, because most basketball shoes sold start at, at least one hundred dollars . Some people may not understand why Stephen Marbury did this, but there are a few reasons that he did a shoe for $14.98 . One big reason that Marbury took this risk was to try and help out kids and parents who could not afford the one hundred dollars sneakers that are being sold everywhere . Marbury stated that, “Things are crazy out there .” He continues on to talk
