Nancy Crawley Case 11 Philadelphia Phillies Inc. The product that the Phillies try to market is the game of baseball . They want all the Phillies fans to come and fill up the 93,500 seats available . The Phillies are also very careful not to market some products . The products that they try to avoid selling are products that advertise anything for any other major league baseball team . The only baseball team they want to market and advertise for are the Philadelphia Phillies . Marketing for the Phillies is called a service product versus a consumer product . A consumer product is something like a can of Coke . The service products are products that consumers can get something out of . Consumers get this out of consumer services as well . The primary benefit of a service product is entertainment for the consumers . The biggest way to market a baseball game, is to just make sure the experience at the ball park is all around fun . The best type of advertisement is by word of mouth from the fans of the Phillies
