Nancy Crawley ALMOST, MAINE was held in Township 13, Range 7 in a small area of Maine. This place was called Almost Maine, because it had never been officially organized as a town, but everyone living there saw it as a small community. There was not really a story line, but it contained a great message and had a theme. The main message/theme was about love, meaning, and direction. It showed how love conquers all and how everyone wants to be found. Since I have never been one to attend plays, I really had to focus in order to get the message and understand what was going on. What stood out in my mind, was how powerful love truly is and how it can affect our lives and those around us. The play ALMOST, MAINE, was about the pains of people who were looking for their importance in life and where they belonged. Each scene happened at nine o’clock each night during the winter. During most of the scenes in the play, the audience sees a form of beautiful lights, the Northern Lights. These set of lights were very magical and beautiful, just like each
