The Creation Stories The story of creation in Genesis is a very common story known among many Christians. As children, we are taught about Adam and Eve and the creation of all mankind. This narrative is the foundation of many Christian’s religion. The first two chapters in Genesis are very significant chapters. They are important, because these two chapters tell about God’s power and how great he truly is. For example, in Genesis one it tells how in the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1). Genesis teaches us that the earth is well made and good. People are special to God and unique. It also teaches us God creates and sustains life (Genesis). These two creation stories are in Genesis, because it is the beginning of life and Genesis is the first book in the Bible. Also, they are in the story of Genesis, because the word Genesis literally means the beginning, which is a Hebrew word. The two creation stories differ from each other in a few ways. The first creation story is about how God created the heavens and the earth.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
