Shawn Varghese HON-1000C-111 Dr. Pecorella October 4, 2007 Metropolitan Museum of Art Trip Walking out of the subway, I could describe the area around the Metropolitan museum of art with one word: luxurious. The surrounding neighborhood around the museum was filled with pricy apartments. The street that the met was on, Fifth Avenue represents just how wealthy Manhattan really is. Also, the museum is very near to central park and many expensive stores. Overall the area outside the Metropolitan museum of art was able to enhance the museum and what was inside. The museum, from the outside, looks almost like a court house. It has two floors organized into many sections devoted to different time periods and different sections of the world. The building was especially large as one exhibit kept leading to another. It was easy to get lost in a sea of art and artifacts. Each section of the met had a central theme ranging from the Egyptian to the medieval exhibit. Because I didn’t have the luxury of
