CE 167: Engineering Project Management Fall 2010 Concept to Know for Final NOTE: This list is not exhaustive. I am providing this as a study guide, and I believe the Final questions cover this material. However, I will not guarantee that you will not see a related (but not explicitly called out) concept on the exam. I can tell you that if you are able to do the homework and the examples in the reader, I do not think you will find the Midterm to be unfair or too difficult. Concepts 1. All concepts listed for the first midterm. 2. All concepts listed for the second midterm (including items with strike-through on them) a. Especially: Resource Leveling and Crashing 3. Learning Curves 4. Lags in Linear Production/Line of Balance: a. In addition to the lead/lag required in order for activities to complete, it is generally advisable to add a lag between activities as a form of contingency, the length depends on the nature of the project, but you should always indicate your assumption (i.e. how much additional lag you are including)
