Unformatted text preview: Capital One CASE ASSIGNMENT To prepare for an upcoming meeting with the Board of Directors, Richard Fairbank (Chairman of the Board, CEO, and President) has hired your consulting firm to conduct an external evaluation of Capital One's recent acquisition strategy and to identify strategic issues confronting the company. You are to assess the company's ability to sustain growth with its current strategy and existing market conditions. The meeting is to be held on April 15, 2005, and you have been assigned the task of sharing the results of your study with Fairbank's top management team. You'll be expected to provide a written report and to present a ten minute overview of the strategic analysis. This brief presentation should include a minimum of five PowerPoint slides to highlight the key points of your study, provide an up-to-date and insightful look at Capital One's strategic position, recommend strategic actions, and include supportive analytical documents as necessary. 1.
