Pham Kaitlin Pham Professor Erma Strauffer COMS 102 12 January 2011 Pay Attention Exercise This assignment could not have come in a better time . This quarter, I took on a harder schedule, with much more expected out of me, with the constant reminder that “it would only get harder from here” . I was more stressed than I had been in a while, and on top of my mild fear of public speaking, I was overwhelmed . However, throughout the duration of this exercise, I was able to sort out through my anxiety and get back on track . My stress level was lowered, and I was able to find time to enjoy more things . The first thing I found out was that I breathe through my mouth . The second was my horrible posture and poise . I focused on these two things throughout the exercise . I found that near the beginning, my breaths were faster, more urgent, and my posture was always tense . My shoulders were always slouched forward, and I often woke up with stiffness in my upper back .
