Checkpoint: Monitoring Employees on Networks How does e-mail benefit an organization? There are many different ways that e-mail can benefit an organization. An employee can send and receive important information at the click of just a few keys. Such as data files or a graph showing information. E-mail also gives an employee more time to work on something else instead of being on the phone or having to walk across a large building to get the information that he or she needs. Why might an organization want to limit how an employee uses e-mail during work hours? An organization might want to limit how an employee uses e-mail during work hours due to the misuse the company email, such as using company time to make personal emails as well as taking company time to do this. Also an employee could trade or sale company secrets to a competing company. What is an e-mail’s path once it leaves an organization?
