Hannah Bauss Psy 254 11/7/09 Reflection Paper 3 Psychologists have created several theories or models of love, like the wheel theory of love, the different styles of love, and the triangle components of love. Although no theory can truly explain love, one of these models is better and more useful for explaining love. This model is the triangle components of love. The triangle components of love are commitment, intimacy and passion. Commitment is the attachment between people that increases with trust between people. Intimacy is the way that people self-disclose to each other. As people disclose more to another, they become more vulnerable to that person and the bond is strengthened. Passion is the motivation for people to form relationships. This model talks about the relation between these three components and how they form different types of loving relationships. Through different combinations of these three components, eight types of love relationships are formed. Non-love contains none of the three components, while
