NORTH CAROLINA SCHOOL OF THE ARTS FACULTY COUNCIL MEETING MINUTES April 5, 2006 Present: Trish Casey, Norman Coates, Wayne Crawford, Dale Girard, Leslie Kamtman, Steve LaCosse, Geordie MacMinn, Lynda Moss, LeRoy Percy, Ellen Rosenberg, Christine Spizzo, Lauren Whitaker Absent: Renata Jackson, Rick Miller, Jeryl Prescott Sales, John Toia I. Approval of Minutes The minutes of the March 1, 2006 Faculty Council meeting were approved as amended. II. Standing Committee Reports A. Educational Policies – no report B. Campus Development – no report C. Faculty Welfare & Development – Dale Girard Revision of policies and procedures in process. Revised sabbatical guidelines submitted to Provost for review. Discussed dividing responsibilities of welfare and development into two committees. Discussed Library (staff) representation on the committee. Dale to present a resolution to Faculty Council (April 19 meeting) to change the structure and membership of the Faculty Welfare & Development Committee.
