Course webpage : http://www.phys.u±.edu/ thorn/homepage/eminfo.html Grader : TBA email: O²ce hour: Textbook : Classical Electrodynamics , J, David Jackson, 3rd Edition (Wiley, 1999) Lectures : I will try to make my lectures self-contained and my lecture notes will be posted on line. Jackson’s textbook will be a major source of homework problems and a valuable alternative perspective on the subject. We will try to cover most of the material in the ³rst seven chapters of Jackson’s book by the end of the ³rst semester. Examinations : A midterm exam (date tba) will comprise 25% of your course grade and a ³nal examination (15 Dec, 12:30-2:30 pm) will comprise 50% of your course grade. Both exams will be closed book.
