Identify the benefits of life experiences for the adult student and describe two life experiences that will be useful as you pursue you degree. At the age of 18, I graduated high school and started college at Kennesaw State University. I took about two months off between graduation and starting college. The first month I took some driving classes to become a better driver and at the middle of June went to India for almost two months since my cousin Mrinal’s wedding was on August 11 th , 2006. I was a student at Kennesaw for two years and then I went to Chattahoochee Tech for two years. I know normally people start at a community college and then go to a university but I did not do that. It always takes hard work and dedication to succeed in anything that you want to succeed in. You have to always believe in yourself and fight for what you believe in. The first experience that helps me to pursue my degree is my volunteering hours. I have been volunteering for the Hindu Temple of Atlanta, the Telugu Association of Metro Atlanta, and I also helped in the International Club at high school. For 15 years, I have been volunteering at HTA and I have done many interesting things. For example, I have helped cook food, pack food, and sell food in the kitchens of the temple. I have also helped the priests set up the upstairs of the temple for various religious functions. The type of work I did was bringing the food upstairs before the ritual ended so the food could be blessed. I also helped count the
