Running Head: Using the Past 2 Points/questions for reflective paper Moving twice during child and pre-teen years   First time moved from birthplace of Greenville, South Carolina to Marietta, Georgia after my dad got a new job in Georgia. Second time we moved from the rent house in Marietta, Georgia to a new house that we bought in Woodstock, Georgia. I was usually able to make friends after we moved to Georgia but I did miss all the friends that I made in my hometown since my parents lived there for 27 years. The new friends that I made in Georgia were friends from Sunday school. Maternal grandmother died My maternal grandmother had a stroke at my youngest aunt’s house in Chicago. She later went into a coma and then died. Her death divided the family because the sons stopped talking to their sisters. The sons kept their sisters from receiving their inheritances from their parents. Volunteering at Hindu Temple of Atlanta I learned the importance of serving the greater good. I was able to meet and get to know people from all walks of life. I got to know everyone in the Indian community since I volunteered. I got to know all of the priests at the temple too. 8 years in Chorus I joined Chorus in 5 th Grade and fell in love with singing. I learned how to read music and sing the scales in 6 th Grade. I was teacher’s helper through middle school.

I went to my cousin Mrinal’s wedding in India. I started college at Kennesaw State University two days after coming from India. Reason I returned to school I had 100 credits but no degree. I wanted to get a degree in Sociology and graduate. I want to be a great example to my many young nieces and nephews. I want my dreams and goals to come true so that I can find a job in Sociology. How/when these life events fall into the categories of Levinson’s theory (1) Levinson said that people go through each stage in the same order and at roughly the same age and that the findings of many studies support this. The primary components of a life structure are the person’s relationships with others. Each relationship evolves over time and has different meaning at various times. It was believed that there are two or three relationships in a person’s life and they are marriage, family, and occupation. I agree with Levinson because family is important because they help you get stronger in life. Occupation is important because every person has some type of career and everyone in work has to have some time with peer groups. Marriage is also important because that is about two people compromising to make a marriage work.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
