John needs to pray in school whereas Mary does not want school prayer. The two compromises would be to allow those students like John who wish to pray to be granted some prayer time or have alternating days of school prayer. Prayer should be optional and those like Mary who do not like to pray could exempt themselves while others prayed.     Every day there is a moment of silence (Mosser, 2010).
