Words to know Law of Segregation - Mendel's first law of genetics stated that in formation of gametes the paired traits are separated from each other in gamete formation. Law of Independent Assortment - Mendel's second law of genetics showed that different traits are sorted independently. Monohybrid cross – is a cross between two parents that breed true for different version of a single trait. Ex: the trait is flower color. Dihybrid cross – is a cross between two parents that breed true for different versions of two trait. 1.
