Dietary supplements marketed to the athlete. Course will prepare the student for making personal choices regarding he/her diet and popular dietary supplements to enhance athletic performance. Student Learning Objectives Evaluate a diet for meeting the needs of the athlete Evaluate a dietary supplement with claims of enhancing athletic performance Required Books Eating for Endurance (4 th Edition) by Ellen Coleman RD, MA, MPH. This book will be referred to as “EC” in the class schedule.
