THE RICE PRINCIPLE The best treatment for injuries is prevention. For acute injuries to the body, the standard treatment is the RICE principle. R = Rest I = Ice (cold) application C = Compression E = Elevation Rest : Allow the injury site to recover by resting it for a day or two, starting back gradually.
