There is no better place to start with by answering this question: Why is it necessary to have an operating system? In other words, when did the need to have an operating system exist? You got to tackle a bit of history both the Windows and the Linux Operating Systems. A process is a stream of data that has to be undergone in a particular process before the desired application can be accessed and used properly, an example being opening word documents starts a process that signals the OS to find that particular amount of data needed to open said documents, this is the fundamental setup for all OS building from the bottom up with various processes. There are two main parts to the process which are the execution stream meaning the sequence of instructions used in the process only one of these can occur at a time while the second thing is the process state this entitles everything that can be affected by said process such as code’s, data or still open files. While processes are of a my singular use we can consider threads as being the backer of processes, some processes may take longer than other’s so threads are implemented to help create the desired outcome faster, while processes are unable to write over and share memory with other processes threads can and will in order to stack again from the bottom up from multiple threads meaning faster response times instead of one processes trying to create the outcome individually modern OS use threads. Using threads allows programmers to write a larger amount of data that corresponds to certain events and activities instead of needing to write multiple and trying to interlock different
