Ms. Ramdas speaks about how women use their own religious rituals and turn them into opportunity. Ms. Ramdas explains what she believes in through womens’ stories and shows how to bring change in our world. Presentation Summary Ms. Ramdas knows three women who display the attributes of a leader. The three women are a devout Muslim, a lesbian Croatian, and a Liberian mother. Sakena was a devout Muslim who taught Ms. Ramdas to challenge her assumptions. Sakena was a teacher at a time when educating women was against the law. The Taliban threatened her on a daily basis. Sakena watched women and girls use their own religious traditions, modifying them into opposition and opportunity.
