Message: After reading the article on plagiarism, I feel that the school was trying to blame the students completely for the plagiarism. My view on this scenario is that the students are not totally at fault. If there were one or two students that were caught, I would feel differently. Twenty students from one class shows that it is a trend which means that the students were apparently not taught well enough of exactly what is acceptable and what is not when it comes to plagiarism. I think the students should be properly taught from the beginning of high school what plagiarism is and they should be given assignments to see if they truly understand the rules. If they perform up to standard on their ability to truly understand the knowledge, then I would agree with the harsh outcome they have suffered. As with our justice system, you have to prove that the intentions were to plagiarize....
