CHAPTER 3 PERSIST This chapter will help you maneuver through college with greater ease. Chapter is all about: learning how to hold on, learning how to push yourself, learning where to go for assistance, and never being afraid to ask for help. Information in this chapter can help you learn to develop an attitude of persistence and winning. TO BE SUCCESSFUL, YOU HAVE TO LAST How can I make it and persist in college? Ever faced adversity and heavy odd. You are one of people who refused to let adversity hold you back, faced your fears, and continue with project at hand, then know how it feels to survive. Know feeling of winning and the value of persistence. Defeat doesn’t have to be part of your life. May be part of your journey, but doesn’t have to be permanent. Persistence means you are going to stay-you have found a way to stick it out, found way to make it work, and found a way to not give up. Chapter about-giving you the tools to discover how college works and tools need to be successful. KNOWING THE RULES UP FRONT Why do I need to know about college policies and procedures? Policies and procedures it is your responsibility to know what you can expect from your institution and what your institution expects from you.
