English 1302: Research Paper 1/Essay 3 Choose one of the literary texts we have studied in class. Choose an issue (or question) in the text that interests you and focus on answering this issue . You may consider further examining a text you wrote about for one of the first two essays. To write this essay, you must do research. Your paper should include five to eight secondary sources . You will document these sources using the latest MLA style of documentation. At least three sources must have been originally published in print form . As in your other essays, your research paper should have a thesis that appears in the opening paragraph or near the beginning of the essay. The essay should be organized in a coherent manner so that your readers can follow your thoughts. Claims may require detailed explanations to be convincing. This reasoning should be logical and easily apparent to your reader. Be sure to consider and address
