EXTRA CREDIT BIOLOGY 160 – Winter 2012 The following assignment can be submitted for extra credit. It must be completed and submitted by March 12, 2012. The assignment is worth 30 pts. 1. Use yourself as the subject being evaluated. 2. By observing your own characteristics and using the following table, create the correct linear sequence if nucleotides that would represent your chromosome (DNA). 3. Be sure to include a start and stop code. 4. Your submittal must include : what characteristics you used (identified), the appropriate amino acid sequence, the codons and anti-codons used. 5. Create mRNA. 6. Finally, convert the mRNA into DNA.
