For next week read ch. 4 + conclusion (not ch. 7) not farmer or evans articles Dear Family, I’m living in Boston right now and working as a nurse’s assistant. It’s not the greatest job but I’m earning a living. I have a really hectic life in which I drive to work everyday at 7am in the morning, and I don’t come home until 6 o’clock at night. I only eat lunch on some days when it’s not too busy. The food here isn’t too great, processed pizza, burgers, fries. I watch TV after I come home or during slow times at work. Sometimes I try to watch the telenovelas that we watch back at home. lEverything is pretty convenient here, I have microwave, dishwashers, refrigerators to make the housework load a lot lighter.

Unformatted text preview: On the weekend I go shopping for groceries, because I don’t have anytime during the weekdays. I read a lot of magazines that patients leave in the waiting room. Everyone here is really different, and everyone is busy with their own lives. I don’t really know my neighbors, and sometimes I get lonely. A lot of people are more independent here. I feel like I have a stronger assertion as a woman. I learned English here a lot by working at the hospital. I’m sending a $500 check for you guys to help out your living arrangements over there. I’d like to come back home but the flights are really expensive, maybe I’ll visit next year. I miss you guys!...
