Suggested Outline of Homework Write-Ups 1. Cover Page Title of homework. Name Class Date 2. Text Title Objective (Purpose) Background (Introduction) - Optional Approach (Procedure) Results (Discussion) Summary (Conclusions) 3. Plots 4. Appendix - Optional Matlab (or other) code Notes: a. The homework write-ups do not have to be done with a text processor. Using a simple text editor for reasonable quality printed output is fine. Neat hand printing also is fine.

The axes of these plots should be clearly labeled and the plots should be given figure numbers so they can be referred to in the text and the plots should be given figure captions. For intercomparison purposes, it often is useful to put multiple plots on a single page but this is not required. The plots do not have to be embedded in the text....
