Electrical, Computer, & Telecommunications Engineering Technology Digital Fundamentals 20072 0618-301 Lab #2 AOI NAND NOR Educational Objective: The educational objective of this laboratory is to investigate the complexity and efficiency of A-O-I, NAND, and NOR implemented circuits. Pre-Laboratory: 1. Review sections 2-7 in the textbook. 2. Read and completely understand the entire procedure portion of this laboratory. 3. Obtain the manufacturer's data sheets for the any new IC’s used in this laboratory. 4. Using only AND (’LS08), OR (’LS32), and INVERTER (’LS04) gates, design a combinational logic circuit that will implement the Boolean equation F 1 . C A B A F 1 + = 5. Using only NAND (’LS00) gates, re-implement the circuit designed in step (2). Inverter gates (‘LS04) may not be used . Your pre-lab must clearly show all steps taken to generate the NAND-only circuit. 6.
