1. What is the nature of underdevelopment? Explain. Underdevelopment can be broken out and explained in three sections / categories. Those  categories consist of Economic, Social, and Political Underdevelopment. Each one is  exactly the way it is stated. The political underdevelopment recognizes that Third World is  far behind that of the Western European countries and that they do not fully democratize  until they are well along in the path to industrial development. The economic  underdevelopment is perhaps the most important, which reflects solely on a countries’  poverty. While Third World countries are generally much poorer than Euopean and North  American countries, there is also a considerable amount of variation between them.  Social Development is important or should be important to Third World countries because  it correlates to their conditions within their society, such as low literacy rates which causes  lower human development, which leads to a lower economic and political standings as
