application 1: Overview 1. Can I open an account at your  bank?   No.   2. What is the Bank of Canada?   The Bank of Canada is the nation's  central bank 3. Who owns the Bank of  Canada?   It belongs to the federal government. 4. Is the Bank of Canada a  government department?   No,  it is a special type of Crown  corporation. 5. Why do we need a central  bank?   The Central Bank is a State of the  monetary and financial management of  the highest institutions. The function is "to  promote the economic and financial  welfare of Canada." 6. What does the Bank do?  It takes responsible for the control of the  money supply, credit terms, and the  regulation of the financial system.
