Baroque So here, I am going to do music and society in this course, there is a question confused me a lot before I started, what is the order I should make for this course, should I start with like Chopin, Mozart, or Beethoven to catch your attention? Or follow the right music period to introduce Baroque music first, but based on my experience, Baroque music is very bored, full of religious style, the melody also ordinary, However, I think follow the right order can make you understand the track of the development of music industry more easily, therefore I decide to talk about Baroque music first. So firstly, what is “baroque” The word baroque derives from the ancient Portuguese noun "barroco” which means a pearl that is not round and elaborate shape. Do not have any connection with music. Hence, in informal usage, the word baroque can simply mean that something is "elaborate", The term baroque refers to music written during the period extending roughly from 1600 to 1750, beginning with the first attempts at opera in Italy, and ending with the death of Johann Sebastian Bach, whose works represent the peak of the era's contrapuntal style. The composers of the baroque era tried to use their music to express intense emotions. As a result, music became much more dramatic than it had ever been before. Further, religious music was considered to be as a very important type of music in the baroque era. And most of the best music of this period was composed for the church, for the god, for divinity. Significant musicians in this era: Johann Sebastian Bach, George Frederick Handel and Vivid Bach is the father of music. Vivade with his "Four Seasons" famous the world knows. Handel can be considered as euphony, elegant is the one and only word to describe his music. Consider Johann Sebastian Bach, whose works represent the zenith of the era's style and spirit.
