The Lovely Bones Journal #2 The issues discussed are how dead influence the alive and memory. It all began when Susie’s sister noticed there was something going on in the corn field .when the sky turned dark, Lindsey realized that people were having a ceremony for Susie; a ceremony took place all spontaneously, even without consulted Susie’s family first. All of Susie’s family members, except the mother, joined the group afterward. During the ceremony, everyone’s heart was filled up and warm. Most importantly, it made Susie’s father realized that Susie had been loved by people he couldn’t even recognize and that the dead would still stay in people’s memory. Although I have never had the experience of attending one’s ceremony or the experience of losing someone from my life, I can understand the situation somehow. One of the examples that may be related to this is a Japanese drama I had seen. The story is about a girl who was struggling with an incurable disease. The drama was
