      “The Gift of The Magi” which is a very famous dramatic love story was  written  by O. Henry. ‘Horse”  by D.H. Lawrence  shows  us  a satiric  story  between a boy and his mother. The two stories have many similarities and  differences. In this essay, I will compare and contrast these two stories, and  tell   you   that   true   love   is   more   important   than   any   superficial   material  possessions in the world.       Firstly, the theme of these two stories is about love and money. In ‘GIFT”  the main protagonists Jim and Della are a poor couples, and cannot afford to  buy expensive gifts, but Della can sell her long beautiful hair and buy a watch  chain for her husband. Jim is also a very caring husband; he wants to give a  gift to Della. Therefore he sells his legacy, a golden watch and buys a set of  comb for Della which she has already wanted. The other story” the rocking
