What is a specification? A specification is a precise statement describing the characteristics of a particular item. Whether specifying bricks, curtain wall systems, buildings, or bridges, the project specifications must completely describe all the materials and fabrication methods required on that project so the structure can be produced in accordance with the contract requirements.
