Hyundai Heavy To Invest KRW300B In Solar Cell Plant By 2009 184 words 19 May 2008 21:36 Dow Jones International News DJI English SEOUL (Dow Jones)--South Korea's Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. (009540.SE) said Tuesday it will invest KRW300 billion ($288 million) by 2009 to expand its solar cell plant. As part of its business diversification strategy, Hyundai Heavy has already spent KRW34 billion on the facility in Eumseong, 131 kilometers south of Seoul, which produces solar cells - a key part in the generation of photovoltaic solar power, the company said in a statement. The company plans to raise electricity output capacity at the Eumseong plant to 330 megawatts a year by 2009
