US, India Firms To Invest $40 Mln in Gujarat Solar Plant 170 words 27 October 2010 09:35 Dow Jones International News DJI English MUMBAI (Dow Jones)--Privately held Azure Power India Pvt. Ltd. Wednesday said a consortium led by a U.S. government body plans to invest $40 million to set up a 15 megawatt solar power plant in the western state of Gujarat. The investment will be led by the Overseas Private Investment Corp., a U.S. government body that helps U.S. businesses invest overseas and promote economic growth in emerging markets, Azure Power said in a statement. Other investors in the project are the International Finance Corp., Bangalore-based venture capital firm Helion
